Slovakia is GMT+1. Their currency is the euro (approx = £1)

Few people know that Slovakia is one of the most advanced, and most beautiful, countries in Europe and the 3rd fastest growing economy in the eurozone! They benefit from universal health care and free education – making many other European countries seem a bit behind by comparison. However, there is still a large disparity in wealth and the majority of it’s residents don’t earn a large salary. As a result, it is one of the cheaper countries in Europe to visit, with most supermarket goods to be cheaper than the UK – especially cigarettes and alcohol as these a far less heavily taxed. Drinks in bars and restaurants are also approximately half the price of countries like the UK and France.
